After closing our brick-and-mortar last January, I had many plans for 2025. Pop-ups, print releases, a podcast, so many exciting new avenues to explore.
Unfortunately, I have put A LOT of energy into pop-ups this first half of the year and have seen very little sales. It’s a tough time though, I get it. We are all feeling it.
What this translates into is the harsh reality that I am struggling to just cover the gallery’s operating costs and don’t have anything left to put into printing costs for print releases or anything else that would keep the momentum going for Trash Lamb.
I have been driving for Lyft since last Fall so that I can eat, have a roof over my head, and pay basic bills. Right now I’m driving 30 - 40 hours a week to make it all work, on top of another 20 - 40 hours doing gallery duties. I’m fucking tired, to say the least.
It’s true that it’s been a very difficult year BUT I’m still here and showing up for the arts as best as I can. I wouldn’t trade what I’m doing here for anything and I’d rather be destitute than give up on the LAMB.
Please consider a recurring or one-time donation to help support the gallery through these trying times. No contribution is too small, they all add-up! For the equivalent of buying Trash Lamb a coffee each month, you can help us keep fighting the good fight.
Your donation will keep creativity alive in the world during a monumentally dark time for the arts. Contributions will go towards pop-up and event tabling fees, printing & packaging costs for print releases, advertising, website hosting subscriptions, and other gallery related costs.
Thank you so much for being here and giving a shit!
